Starting today, BirdyChat is called Balsio.
We started BirdyChat because too many work conversations happen in personal chat apps. BirdyChat was a good name to start with, but there are a lot of apps with bird names, and we decided we needed a name that stands out. Balsio is that name.
An ode to mindful productivity, Balsio is a linguistic blend of "balance", "input" and "output".
What is changing
The app name in the App Store and on Google Play: BirdyChat becomes Balsio.
Our website: birdy.chat becomes balsio.com.

What is not changing
Your account. All your chats and your message history stay exactly where they are. There is nothing you need to do.
The logo. The small yellow hatchling stays.
What comes next
We see an opportunity to make Balsio a place where small teams can chat with other small teams to make big things happen.
Over the last few months, we have seen many small teams moving to Balsio and making it their main team communication app. We used to believe that team communication was a solved problem. However, we now see that many small teams are underserved by existing tools and are stuck using personal chat apps as a last resort.
We’re already working on a few exciting updates: a dedicated workspace for teams, a redesigned web app, and a Windows app. More exciting things to come.
