Small businesses have always worked across a blurry line between the people inside the company and the people outside it.
A project manager moves back and forth between internal and external chats to keep a project going. A business developer gets requirements from clients in one place and passes them on to the team in another. A recruiter spends half the day with the team and the other half with candidates.
Most team communication tools assume you only want to talk to your team. That assumption has pushed many small teams to use personal chat apps instead, just to keep up with both groups.
We're fixing this with Workspaces.

What Workspaces are
A Workspace is a shared place for your team, where you can create chats for the different parts of your work: a project, a client, an area of the business, or anything else that deserves its own room. If you have used channels in other team chat apps, this will feel familiar.
In a Workspace, you can create new shared group chats or move existing ones in, so the whole team can see them. Your external chats, including those with contacts on WhatsApp, stay where they are.
What you can do with Workspaces
Workspaces are not tied to a specific email domain, which means you can create one Workspace for your team and separate ones for each project you run with external collaborators.
You can add people to a Workspace by entering their email address or by sharing an invite link with them.
If you have a group chat with someone outside the team, such as a customer, you can also add it to your team's Workspace. Your team will then see it as one of the shared group chats, while the external participant will only see the group chat itself, not the Workspace it belongs to.
Finally, if you are coming from a team chat app where channels have #names-that-look-like-this, we think you will appreciate being able to add a custom image to each group chat in the Workspace. It makes things a little more fun ๐

Bring your agents and integrations
Our API and MCP let you bring your favourite tools and agents into your team's Workspace. To move your existing integrations to Balsio, ask your coding assistant for help and share this link to our API documentation with it: https://docs.balsio.com/
What comes next
We built Workspaces after listening to how small teams told us they work, and we expect they will keep telling us what it is missing. If you have questions or ideas, write to me directly on Balsio. I read every message.
We're looking forward to seeing how your team uses it.
Productively yours,
Rolands
